Ok so here's the scenario....  You are working or playing or whatever on your ZTE smartphone and all of the sudden it just shuts off and no matter how many times you press the power button it will not turn on.  You know the battery is charged and you also know that the Phone has not been physically damaged in any way.

Note: If your battery has dropped below 0% and appears not to charging it by plugging it up to a computer via your USB charging/data cord.

Ok here is one way that could  possibly get you back up and running.

Press and hold down the volume button and the power button at the same time and hold them till your phone appears to be booting up.

After it flashes through a few screens a menu will come up on the screen similar to the image below.

Follow the navigation instructions on the screen and choose to "Reboot" your phone.

Hopefully your phone will reboot at this point and you should be back in business.

If rebooting your phone does not work there are other options on the menu to choose from
for instance you could choose to update your phone or completely reset it back to factory settings but I would only do a factory reset as a last resort.  *****Make sure you have contacts and any files you would not want to lose backed up to your PC before attempting a factory reset because all files and contacts, including instant messages will be erased.*******************

In closing I hope that this information has helped you regain functionality to your phone and also access to your files.

If none of these suggestions worked then you might try using a different charger cable to try and charge your phone or the charging port on your phone may be damaged, dirty, or dysfunctional. If your phone is dysfunctional the I suggest contacting the manufacturer or the retailer where you purchased the phone to see if a replacement or repair is possible.

1 large Onion
2 Large Tomatoes
Juice of 1 lemon
Cilantro
Salt and Pepper to taste


Dice the onion.

Dice the tomatoes and make sure to separate from most of the seeds so that your pico will not be soggy.

wash the cilantro and pull off the leaves and discard the stems.  Then finely chop the cilantro.

Add the onion, tomatoes, and cilantro to a large bowl.

Sprinkle the lemon juice into the bowl also.

Gently mix until lemon juice coats the mixture.

Season with salt and pepper to taste and gently mix again.

Cover and refrigerate until serving.

Makes 8 Carnitas

Ingredients

* 4 Pork Chops
* Natures Seasoning
* Salt and Pepper
*1 Avocado
* Flour Tortillas
*Spring Mix Salad
*2 Large Tomatoes
*Cilantro
*One large Vidalia Onion
* Lemon Juice (Half a Lemon)
*Sour Cream
* Favorite Salsa
 *Mexican Shredded Cheese



Place 4 pork chops in a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil.  Pour a half cup of water over the pork chops to keep them moist while cooking.  Cover with aluminum foil and bake in the oven on 400 degrees F for 45 minutes.

The Pico de Galo
While the pork chops are baking rinse the salad and the cilantro separately.  Let the salad drain and gently dry the cilantro.
Next remove cilantro leaves from the stems and finely chop them.
Add the chopped cilantro to a large serving bowl.
Next wash and finely chop the onion and add it to the large bowl with the cilantro.
Wash the tomatoes and dice them. Then add them to the bowl with the onion and cilantro and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Next add the juice of half a lemon into the bowl and lightly mix. 
Once mixed, cover and refrigerate until served.

 Wash the avocado. Peel and slice it into thin wedges. Spritz it with lemon juice to keep it fresh. Then cover and refrigerate till served.

Remove the pork chops from the oven when fully cooked. Sprinkle generously with natures seasoning and gently transfer them from the pan to a chopping block with a fork or tongs.

Chop the pork chops into thin strips and place them in a serving container.

Take 8 tortillas out of the wrapper and microwave them on a microwave safe dish for 30 seconds.  Then remove them from the microwave with tongs or a spatula and wrap them in aluminum foil.  (Be Carefull!! They will be very hot!)

Next set out the Pico de Gallo, avocado, torillas, pork, sour cream, Mexican shredded cheese, salad, and your favorite salsa and let everyone fix their own carnitas however they like.

Most people who use the internet regularly take advantage or are at least aware of Adblock Plus. But lately it hasn't been blocking popups on some sites that I visit quite regularly.  Some of those sites have become inundated with popups lately to the point that I cannot enjoy my browsing experience.

So I did some research and found some things that really helped me out and I will share them with you now.

First of all, Adblock Plus is an awesome top of the line ad blocker but I think since everyone got concerned with Adblock Plus blocking ads on YouTube and other prominent sights it prompted a surge of people trying to figure out how to outwit Adblock Plus and now we have more popups getting through.   Fear not because I have found few tweaks that can help us get back on track.

Go into Adblock Plus Filter Preferences .  Make sure the box at the bottom labeled

"Allow some non-intrusive advertising" is unchecked.

This will better improve your chances of blocking some of the more aggressive popup ads.




Another good find was an add-on called uBlock Origin.

You can get it here or just go to options add-ons  in the Firefox browser menu and scroll down to block ads.

Navigate to your favorite website with all the popups.

Now go up and click on the Ub icon once it is installed and click on the big power button to block popups for that sight.  There is also 4 toggle features at the bottom of the ub menu to block all ads on the sight, large media elements, cosmetic filtering, and remote fonts. 

Installing this little gem along with Adblock Plus took care of those annoying popup ads on my favorite websites with ease.

Now I am browsing without worrying or pulling my hair out over closing a popup window every time I make a click. I am back to frustration free browsing once again... ahh..

Install "Hacker's Keyboard"  from the Google Play Store.

Make a new folder in the root directory on your phone and name it Priv.


Download the rom for the game here.  (Extract the file if it is zipped with Winrar found in the Google Play Store to the Priv folder that you created)


Install Dosbox Turbo from the Google Play Store and install it to the root directory.




Run Doxbox Turbo

Press the menu button on your phone and choose Input method> Hacker's Keyboard.

Tap on the keyboard at the top of the screen to open the keyboard in DoxBox Turbo.

Type cd priv   (This will put you in the new folder that you created.)

Type dir/w     (this will let you view the files in the folder.)

Type install.exe  (This will run the installer to install the game on your phone.)

Hit the "Enter" key to "Install with these options" or turn your phone sideways to show the arrow keys on your keyboard and press the "Up" and "Down" arrow keys to change options and hit the"Enter" key to select.

In the settings menu tap "Select Input Mode>Touchscreen Mouse"

Mouse Tracking>Absolute

Mouse Sensitivity> 100 on both X and Y

Input Latency>Normal

Virtual Joystick> center at 100 on both X and Y



Type priv      (to run the game)

Tap the Joystick icon on DoxBox menu at the top of your screen to make the joystick visible.

Use the joystick on the left side of your screen to move the mouse and select options  and click the red joystick button on the right side of your screen to select it.

Now click on "Joystick Calibration" and follow the instructions. (If the joystick does not stop going to the top left of the screen then joystick settings may be wrong.)

Joystick should be move correctly now and not stray when centered.

Click "Resume"

Now Click "New"

Use the joystick and keyboard to enter your name and callsign pressing "Enter" after each one.

Use the "red joystick button" to select.

Mini Chicken Pizza with Peach Salsa Recipe

Ingredients:

chopped boneless skinless chicken tenders *(Precooked)

Small flour tortillas

Irish Aged Swiss Cheese

Peach salsa


Preheat oven on broil.

Place flour tortillas on a baking sheet.

Spread peach salsa ( to taste ) over the tortillas like pizza sauce.

Sprinkle chopped chicken on top of the salsa.  (about a small handful)

Sprinkle shredded Irish aged Swiss cheese over the top of the chicken.

Place in oven until cheese is melted and tortillas begin to bubble and curl up.

Remove from oven and let cool for about a minute.

Enjoy!

How to Fix Excel Freezing when Trying to Merge and Center in Windows 7

 Don't Pull your hair out...


Sometimes the simplest fix and the ones that we do not immediately think of can
in the end be the most effective.  That's the case with this fix.

A co-worker of mine was having this problem with Excel freezing while she was
trying to merge and center a series of cells.  

After trying numerous other methods to fix the problem I settled on trying to let 
Microsoft fix the problem with not much faith that it actually would.  Here's how.

Make sure "Excel" and any Microsoft Office programs are closed and are not running

From the Desktop Left Click "Start"

Then Left Click on "Control Panel"

Then Left Click on "Programs and Features".

In the new window scroll down the list of installed programs.

Right Click on "Microsoft Office" or "Microsoft Office Excel" 

Then Left click "Change" in the drop down menu. 

In the next window Left Click the radio box labeled "Repair" and then Left Click the button
on the bottom right of the window.

Microsoft will attempt to repair Microsoft Office. 

Close the windows when it is finished.  

Open Excel and try to merge and center again.

You should now be able to Merge and Center in Excel with no problems.
