How to keep ants out of your house

When it's starting to warm up outside the things that buzz and bite and generally become a nuisance to anyone around.  Warm weather pests can be tolerated outside but when they begin to invade your home it gets much harder to just try to ignore them.

One pest that come to mind are ants.  These little buggers get into everything especially especially when they enter your house.  If this has happened to you or is happening to you then I have the solution to your problem that will stop the ants dead in their tracks, pack their bags, and go back to where they came from.

Whether the ants come in under doors, through windows, or somewhere behind your kitchen counter this remedy will get them to leave.

Here is how.   Follow the trail of the ants and track them back to the point where they are entering your house. It may be even possible to track them back to the hill that they came from but you can do that later if you wish.

Things you will need:

1. Baby Powder

2. Salt

Once you reach the entry point you need to lay down a barrier to block the ants that are outside from getting in and the ants that are already inside from getting out with a  line of sprinkled baby powder and salt to block their path in and out.  You can also sprinkle the baby powder and salt on the ants that are on the inside to confuse them and immobilize them and then stomp away at them. Then just vacuum up the salt, baby powder and ant mixture after a while but wait for some of the ants that are on their way out to get caught too. Just make sure to leave the barrier blocking their entry point.  After a few days they will give up and move on.
I have also used this method to get fire ants out of my truck  cab on 3 occasions.

Have fun with it!  I also sprinkle around the perimeter of ant hills that i find in my yard which really confuses them.

Warning!!!:  Do not sprinkle around plants that you want to keep because the baby powder and/or  salt will harm your plants.

Please feel free to comment on if this method has worked for you or if you have tried any other methods that may or may not have worked.

Thanks.
