How to Open Pictures in a New Window or Tab in Blogger

If one or more pictures are displayed on your blog post then you may want to enable your readers to see them more clearly by opening them in a new window or tab instead of going back and forth from the article to the picture view.

Step 1.  Open your article for editing and click on the HTML tab in the top left.

Step 2. Find the paragraph that represents your picture and look for "style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; ">

Step 3. Insert one of the two statements below  like so.
target="" (opens item in new tab)
     or
target="nw" (opens item in new window)
"style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; " target=">
or
"style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; " target="nw">
Now your blog visitors will be able to read your articles and view pictures in new tabs whenever they click on them.

    Shadow Faces: # 15

OK. Well I actually took this picture on March 30th 2016 and I could not believe what I was seeing especially with the new Ghostbusters film coming out. So I thought I would save it and dedicate it to The Real Ghostbusters  I kid you not. This is a coincidental shadow and I did not create or alter image of the shadow in any way.  Can you name this Ghostbuster?  Leave your answer in the comments below.

Star Trek will returning to television in January of 2017 on CBS with a new series with new characters, villains, and  new worlds.  The series by  Bryan Fuller is the first series expressly for CBS All Access.  I am really excited to hear this news.   I hope that the new series will have a longer life span than the the last reboot of the television series Star Trek: Enterpise in 2005.   If the writing is good and the characters are good. Then lets hope that this new series lives long and prospers.

You can see the video teaser by CBS Upfront which was presented at Carnegie Hall in New York on May 18th here:

According to Wikipedia there are a plethora of capable and experienced producers and other executives to make this series work. You can read more here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Trek_(2017_TV_series)

How to Get Rid Of Red Underlined Text That Wont Go Away In Word 2010

Ok, so I was at work today making  some hanging file labels in Word 2010 when all of the sudden my text turned red and underlined in the middle of the name that I was typing.  I had no idea how this happened and I still am not sure how it happened but I did find the solution and now I am sharing it with you. I hope you find this post helpful.

So from what I understand "Track Changes" somehow got turned on and this is what made my text turn red and underlined.

(Click on the pictures to enlarge)

This is how you turn it off.

    1. Click on the "Review" tab.

    2. Then click on the drop down menu to the right of  " Final: Show Markup" under Tracking Changes.

    3. Next select "Final" in the drop-down menu.

    4. Finally your text should have returned to normal at this point.

To Mix or Not to Mix? That is the Question...

So my buddy and I were grabbing some lunch the other day at KFC. We were chowing down on some strips and mashed potatoes when he made the statement that he could not believe I did not mix my potatoes and gravy together before I ate them.  To which I answered  " It just tastes so much fresher and better when you don't mix the potatoes and the gravy together."  We then agreed to disagree.  So that got me thinking what other peoples position on this subject might be.  Do you prefer to mix  your potatoes and gravy before eating them or do you just chow down with the gravy on top.  Please take the poll and feel free to leave comments below. Thanks so much! I cannot wait to hear what everyone has to say!

Well as If I Did Not Feel Sick Enough Today Already...

NDtv.com Reported on world news today about Obama's first mosque visit.  2/4/2016

Here is what I have to think about it.
Oh the "garbage" that was spewing out of Obama's mouth.  Yes a lot of people who profess Islam or to be Muslim are probably not bad people or terrorists but we as a free country (for now) cannot roll over our beliefs and ethics and safety to a religion that goes against everything America was founded for and stands for. Obama and those who support his ideals are practicing a double standard of religious freedom and racism when one religion (Islam) is suddenly lifted up above all others and those who profess it are all labeled as victims who can do no wrong despite their personal actions and believers of all other religions are labeled as bigots and racists and run out of town if they try to live by their own beliefs. This guy is pure evil and expects us to just go along with what ever he says.  I cannot wait till 2017!  Even though I have no idea which republican candidate is telling the truth or what they will do in office, we have to get rid of Obama or have the rest of his spineless money grubbing lackeys suddenly sprout back bones and the ability to care about anyone other than themselves and their wallet bulges.
This is just sickening! Just sickening!!!

Pot roast is a wonderful dish especially when it is cold. However, if you are in a hurry and do not have the time or space to sit down and eat it in the traditional manner then a sandwich is the next best thing if you ask me.

Here is how to put one together.

    Ingredients from leftover pot roast:

*Roast beef (enough to cover a slice of bread)

*4-5 Chopped baby carrots (from the roast)

    * Roasted Onions to taste (from the roast)

    * 4 Tablespoons of gravy (from the roast)

I have my roast over white rice (minute rice is good )

    * 4 Tablespoons of white rice
    * 2 slices of bread ( toast the bread if you like)

    Put it together:

    1. Spoon all ingredients onto a small plate. (exclude bread)

    2. Mix rice and gravy together gently.

    3. Cut baby carrots into small round bite size pieces.

    4. Pull roast apart into bite size strips.

    5. Cover and microwave for 2 minutes

    6. While ingredients are microwaving place the 2 slices of bread on a plate.

    7. Carefully remove hot plate of pot roast from the microwave and spoon onto one slice of bread.

    8. Complete sandwich by placing the other slice of bread on top and gently pressing down.

    9. Gently cut the sandwich in half with a serrated knife.

    10. Enjoy!  ( You probably would not go wrong by keeping a spoon handy for gobbling up the deliciousness that falls out of the sandwich.) It may be a bit messy but it is definitely satisfying.

    Thanks for visiting!

More Great stuff is sure to come!

Chick-fil-a is saying goodbye to its Cole Slaw

Chick-fil-a has decided to discontinue selling its cole slaw side item.  The last day that you can order cole slaw from Chick-fil-a will be today January 18 2016.  Fortunately Chick-fil-a has graciously decided to share its, menu staple since 1946, recipe with us it's customers.

Since I have not had a Chick-fil-a in my town until recently I haven't had the opportunity to try many of their menu items.   Though when I have had the treat of visiting I would always get nuggets or a Chick-fil-a sandwich with a side of waffle fries.  This being said I am more familiar with the KFC cole slaw than the Chick-fil-a cole slaw.  But I digress.

Here is a picture of the announcement which Chick-fil-a had posted on their door today.

Farewell Chick-fil-a cole slaw!  We hardly new ye!

But now we can try you at home....... :)
