Pot roast is a wonderful dish especially when it is cold. However, if you are in a hurry and do not have the time or space to sit down and eat it in the traditional manner then a sandwich is the next best thing if you ask me.

Here is how to put one together.

Ingredients from leftover pot roast:

*Roast beef (enough to cover a slice of bread)

*4-5 Chopped baby carrots (from the roast)

* Roasted Onions to taste (from the roast)

* 4 Tablespoons of gravy (from the roast)

I have my roast over white rice (minute rice is good )

* 4 Tablespoons of white rice
* 2 slices of bread ( toast the bread if you like)

Put it together:

1. Spoon all ingredients onto a small plate. (exclude bread)

2. Mix rice and gravy together gently.

3. Cut baby carrots into small round bite size pieces.

4. Pull roast apart into bite size strips.

5. Cover and microwave for 2 minutes

6. While ingredients are microwaving place the 2 slices of bread on a plate.

7. Carefully remove hot plate of pot roast from the microwave and spoon onto one slice of bread.

8. Complete sandwich by placing the other slice of bread on top and gently pressing down.

9. Gently cut the sandwich in half with a serrated knife.

10. Enjoy!  ( You probably would not go wrong by keeping a spoon handy for gobbling up the deliciousness that falls out of the sandwich.) It may be a bit messy but it is definitely satisfying.

Thanks for visiting!

More Great stuff is sure to come!

Chick-fil-a is saying goodbye to its Cole Slaw

Chick-fil-a has decided to discontinue selling its cole slaw side item.  The last day that you can order cole slaw from Chick-fil-a will be today January 18 2016.  Fortunately Chick-fil-a has graciously decided to share its, menu staple since 1946, recipe with us it's customers.

Since I have not had a Chick-fil-a in my town until recently I haven't had the opportunity to try many of their menu items.   Though when I have had the treat of visiting I would always get nuggets or a Chick-fil-a sandwich with a side of waffle fries.  This being said I am more familiar with the KFC cole slaw than the Chick-fil-a cole slaw.  But I digress.

Here is a picture of the announcement which Chick-fil-a had posted on their door today.

Farewell Chick-fil-a cole slaw!  We hardly new ye!

But now we can try you at home....... :)
